Day 3 in Jakarta

Gotta wake up early today!! Gotta wake up early today!!!

Bro has made some plans for us today!! Makan lunch with him than we lepak at one mall than he meet up with us at another mall than balik rumah..

And it turns up...........

Bro booked a taxi for us at 10:30am... the same old BB taxi.. trust worthy for it's name i guess! One thing I like about the BB taxi is that so far in regardless the guy whom we encountered in the airport or the taxi drivers who had fetched us so far.. they are all very polite and well mannered!! It felt really good to be in these taxis and am happy for the company that they had such well trainned staff! =)

The taxi brought us to Wisma 46, where bro is working. And gotta know that this wisma is the tallest building in Jakarta!!

He brought us up to the highest floor 47th, whereby we are able to look at half of the Jakarta landscape in an eye!!

I was looking forward to that, but..... the level of enjoyment?! ..................... (speechless)

Juz imagine.... with KL in sight @ Bukit Bintang area... than next to it is Kampung Chempaka... than building next will be Jalan Sultan Ismail area... than the next is Kampung Ara... Can you imagine????

That's how its like from way up high in Wisma 46. No kidding!!

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to have my camera filled with valid batteries than, otherwise it would be captured for a better view! Wasted....... But at least the view it's on my mind now...

We than moved over to take a peep @ ShangriLa Hotel lobby... fancy... with its deco, lightings and nice cozy swimming pool garden...

Jakarta is a big city! I heard that the whole pupulation in Jakarta is aready = to the population in Malaysia!! Is this true?!? Wow!!

Traffic here is either similar to KL peak hours or worst.... Bikes and cars are flying everywhere, especially during the peak hours on Friday as I was told. No one would step out during that hour if possible coz it's really jam.

I second that!

After the lunch, mom decided to take the public transport = BUS as a change to experience the ride. So we took a long walk to get into the ticket counter and walk another long walk to get to the bus station.....

Not much luck we had.... we waited for quite some time in a non air cond, non fan bus stop.. people are jamming up the place and the place is getting warmer... i could even felt my sweat dripping.... gosh!!!

Carrying a sleeping big baby with a little girl next to me wasn't a fun task... I'd learned that it's not easy being a mother!! Hahaha.....

Those staff working in the bus station were kind enough to ask me to seat aside and wait for the bus, it seems that ladies with infant have the priviledge to aboard the bus in advance. That's good!

There are another 2 staffs who were taking care in the bus besides the usual driver, that's something different. I approached the young man asking for help to informed me when my station is due. Was kinda worried that with the crowded bus, he might forgot, but he didn't. Through the crowd, he found me and informed me with a SMILE! So niiceeeeeeeeeeeee of him. That's good!

We are supposed to transit to another bus stop in order to reach the Mangga Dua Square, but.... mom finally decided to take a taxi instead to avoid the walking, the crowd, the sweat, etc etc...

We exit-ed from Matraman station and head right straight to a traffic polis booth to ask for direction on calling for taxi. These 2 traffic police officers were really nice! It was a cross junction ahead with very heavy traffic. The traffic police actually tried to get a taxi for us, but apparently the more he tried, the more taxi has drove passed him..... quickly!! Hahaha........

Finally he managed to get one BB taxi for us. Very kind and sweet of them to lend their helping hands! Really appreciate that! That's good!

After hopping on the BB taxi, the driver told us that he was actually worried when the traffic police stopped him...

"Saya ingat saya dah buat salahan, kena denda..."

Hahahahhaaaaa... as expected! No wonder lots of them ran away!!

The taxi driver tried to chat with us along the way to M2, but the same problem arised... I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!! =D

But the little girl DID!!! Gosh!!! She's our translator than. How could she had understood what the driver said and I don't instead???? Well.... i figured out that she's got kakak at home who had apparently helped a lot there..... =)

Along the way we could see lots of hawker stalls along the road...

We can also see there's some "walking hawker" going around with packets of titbits or others asking for sales when the cars stopped at the traffic lights....

We can see different type of public transport besides the usual taxi and bus.. there's also vans, mini bus, and not forgetting these mini bike taxis... interesting.....

Bro initially said that we have to leave M2 around 3:30pm before the traffic starts, but at the end, it turn out to be that we had only arrived M2 at 3:30pm!!! Traffic is everywhere starting from this hour.... so we gotta change plans...

We went over to another block called WTC Mangga 2.

Goodness!!! It's only 7pm+ and most of the shops are already closed! Never thought that shopping center can be closed that early.......

But in this complex I found something interesting.... At least it's an escalator that we are unable to find in our homeland...

Ever seen one of this "turning" escalator?

Bro came to M2 and brought us back home.... had a short dinner and straight home we went...

What's gonna happen tomorrow?! Will there be anything excited or new experience to experienced?!

Looking forward to a brand new day........... in Jakarta!
